SiteFlex® LCC Outdoor Battery Solutions

The SiteFlex® LCC Outdoor Battery Solutions enclosure offers a robust and environmentally controlled solution for easy and fast outdoor deployment of battery backup systems.  The solution is designed with passive ventilation of the hydrogen gas, and the battery cabinet is supported by two different climate configurations: 

  • Direct Air-Cooling (DAC) system providing filtered cool outdoor air (free cooling) into the battery compartment 
  • DC Air Conditioner Unit (ACU) maintaining an internal yearly average temperature of max +25°C 

The battery cabinet can also be equipped with an optional Emergency Ventilation System (EVS), which will cool the batteries in case of an ACU failure or malfunction. 

Extend battery life while cutting costs. 

Battery performance is strongly affected by environment temperatures. Every 10°C increase from the ideal operating temperature of 20°C halves the life of a battery. So, at 40°C, a battery that should last 10 years can last only 2.5 years. This drives up replacement costs and severely increases the impact on the environment. Our SiteFlex® LCC technology will extend your battery life and save you energy. 

The cabinets can be equipped with either a rack supporting up to four strings of 4x12V or one string of 24x2V batteries.

  • Passive Hydrogen ventilation (no vent tubes required) 
  • Enclosure body of powder-painted, zinc-coated steel sheets offering a robust and corrosion-resistant structure designed for harsh outdoor environments. The internal surface of the enclosure body is covered by a thermal insulation layer
  • Battery rack supporting up to four strings of 4x12V 190 Ah battery blocks or one string of 24x2V battery blocks 
  • Hot dip galvanized plinth C-profiles which can be equipped with optional Cover plates 
  • Ingress protection class IP45 
  • Operating temperature range: -33°C to +50°C
